The main event will see the home town favorite Jack Hermansson trying to earn a contender spot by making a strong statement against the heavy-handed Jared Cannonier (12-4-0). Riding on the four-fight winning streak, Hermansson is no longer considered a prospect; he is a future title challenger! This Saturday, he will be under the enormous pressure to deliver in front of the home crowd and get into the title mixture. On the other hand, after dropping down in weight, Jared Cannonier has finally found the perfect form. Coming from the TKO victories over David Branch and Anderson Silva, Cannonier is also a couple of victories away from the contender position and desperately needs a win to keep the momentum going.

Rd 1 – Hermansson immediately opens up with a couple of kicks! Cannonier stays focused as Hermansson dives for a takedown against the cage. He is very aggressive early in the fight. Cannonier defends and they are back in the center. Great move by Cannonier. He throws a leg kick but Hermansson drives for a single and gets the takedown. He takes the back but Cannoniers scrambles back to his feet. Now, he is pressing against the cage as Hermansson separates and eats a hard elbow. They are using a lot of energy early. Cannonier has earned a much-needed respect from the Swedish fighter. He stuffs another takedown and they continue to exchange in the center. Cannonier is looking sharper and faster on the feet. He is punishing the lead leg. Nice step in right lands for Cannonier, he is looking much confident. Hermansson wakes up and finally connects with a couple of kicks.
Rd 2 – The Joker opens with a couple of kicks. He shoots for a takedown but eats a nasty uppercut! He goes down! Cannonier pushes for a finish with more punches!!! The referee steps in and saves Hermansson!!!
